About Me
I am a London, UK based writer from Vienna, Austria who mainly specialises in music journalism.
Having written short stories and blog posts ever since I can remember and having grown up as an opinionated fangirl, I moved to London in 2020 to study Music Marketing, Media and Communication at BIMM (British and Irish Institute of Modern Music). During my degree, I started writing for BIMM‘s very own LDN Magazine and became a resident writer for GEM Magazine, focusing on single, album and live reviews.
After being advised by one of my role models, writer Hannah Ewans, I became a contributor for The Forty Five in 2022.
In 2023, I took over the editorial role of LDN Magazine's New Music Friday column. Furthermore, I independently published two zines online that I initially created for two of my final assignments: ROCKSTAR GIRLFRIENDS, which aims to "change the narrative of women who are involved with said rockstars and therefore often discredited for their own careers" (also available in print), and FANS AND FASHION, which "explores the origin and development of fans, as well as their object of fandom, and how both set significant trends, make important statements and impact culture & society". I graduated BIMM London with a Bachelor of Arts and Upper Second Class Honours; the title of my dissertation was 'The romanticisation of substance abuse in lyrics and its effect on a fanbase' and my supervisor was music journalist and 90s grunge icon Jerry Thackray. The same year, I interviewed multiple upcoming artists for GEM Magazine and started writing opinion pieces on significant events in pop culture.
2025 marks the year I branched out into fashion journalism, reporting about Fashion Week SS25 for Groupie Magazine.
I am constantly looking for further opportunities to share my passion for writing, music and culture.
